STATEMENT OF THE CASE.
Throughout this brief we will refer to the iarties to
this case as the Railroad Company for the PUiintitf in
Error and the Government for the Defendant in Error,
This is an action brought by the Government against
the Railroad Company under the 28 Hour Law ( Act
June 29fh, 1906, c. 3594, 34 Stat. 607), involving the ship-
ment of a car of hogs from Stevensville, Montana, over
