In Scene III, as illustrated In the photograph
attached above, there will be shown an unsuccessful recoring
apparatus which was constructed by the plaintiff prior to his
making the invention now the subject of the patent in suit in
which he like others in the art attempted to build a machine in
which all the parts rotated about the rope. The machine shown
in Scene III is the actual device built by Charles F. Hansen
in the early part of 1950,
The pictures of Scene III were taken on September 17,
1957 on the plaintiff 1 s premises in Alton, California.
